The best way to decorate a Sessional Therapy Room

The best way to decorate a Sessional Therapy Room

The best advice we could give is to keep it very simple. Here are some of the things which have worked for us over the years.

Some people like pink, some blue and some orange. for the purpose of decorating a therapy room white and calm blue are the best colours, they are calming and very easy to maintain.

General Furnishings

We equip all our rooms with a desk, desk lamp, swivel chair, foldable plinth, pillows, couch roll, a blanket bin, bluetooth speaker, two Ekthorp arm Chairs, desk lamp, floor lamp, 2-3, canvas wall art  pieces, Glade one push air freshners, wall clock and optional blackout blinds on the windows

Sound proofing

To achieve a suitable sound proofing you should always use as many soft furnishings as possible. Insulate parttions with sound dampening insulations. Provide music to the common areas to limit noise from users outside your rooms.

Painting

Its best to use white water based paint on the walls throughout your rooms and a white satin wood on the wood work, it allows for easy repair and cleaning, from furniture scuff marks, hand and heel prints on doors and skirting.

Furniture

We have always used ikea for arm chairs and side tables, the ekthorp range is not very expensive, they have washable removable covers and are comfortable and durable, if they need replacing, they have a range of new covers always in stock.
