This is a dedicated psychotherapy and counselling room located at 49 Piccadilly (Picadilly House), a Grade II listed building in the heart of Manchester.
The space benefits greatly from it's central location. Piccadilly Gardens has major tram, train and bus routes, which makes it accessible for clients working in the city centre, as well as those travelling in from the surrounding areas.
The space has been carefully furnished to create a calm and comfortable atmosphere. The room is designed around a large sofa and an armchair, decorated in a relaxed style. Plenty of plants, throws and soft lighting help make the space feel inviting and warm. The large windows allow light into the room, and the central window can be opened to let fresh air to circulate as well. An air-con/heating unit keeps the room warm during winter.
Alongside the sofa and armchair, a desk has been set up for writing and reading. The additional chair means that although the layout is designed for 1-to-1 work, there would be ample space for up to 4 people in a clinical supervision group.
The building offers secure fob access, a range of comfortable waiting areas including seating outside the room, toilet and shower facilities, free tea and coffee, and a reception manned 9-5.
